Hi-‘S’ rods feature a crisp, progressive action, however the high modulus, low resin carbon used in the blank increases the recovery rate resulting in a far better casting tool than the action suggests.
The new Hi-‘S’ 200 is the result of collaboration between Simeon Bond, the blank design guru of Free Spirit, and Mark Hutchinson who is noted for his distance casting capabilities. A fast tapered blank combined with the H-‘S’ carbon has produced a very formidable tool. Using an overhead cast with 10lb line and a shock leader, Mark has cast a baited rig a measured 217 yards. This outstanding rod is a specialist tool and will require a good casting technique to unleash its full potential. It is recommended for situations where distance casting is the main consideration.

Ultra slim and light weight 40t carbon blanks that can be held all day if necessary. Progressive actions with backbone to control big fish in fast water as required. Combination full cork rear grips and slim screw down EVA on a Fuji IPS/KDPS reel seat. A separate quiver top section is available for all specialist rods in the range.
